Blockchain Home Registry

Blockchain Home Registry (BHR) is a platform for agents and consumers that aims to bring all of the world’s real estate data together in one accessible location. Users can claim their homes on BHR by entering data ranging from the types of appliances to the amenities in their neighborhood. In return, they receive an NFT that ensures their rights to the information and guarantees their compensation if someone accesses their home’s data. The software can be used by agents for marketing, appraisal firms, insurance underwriting, and auto-refinancing mortgages. BHR’s goal is to put control of housing data back into the hands of homeowners.

BHR also allows agents to produce extensive real reports on each home submitted, whether for marketing, opinions of value, or comps. The platform has partnered with a title company to help users build comprehensive property profiles when claiming their homes. Unlike Zillow, which turns its data into leads for agents, BHR offers direct incentives to consumers in the form of rewards that lead to payments and unlock future features.

Users can lock down their homes with a BHR-issued NFT, which is a legitimate digital token denoting ownership. Entering data is easy and uses a series of categorized menus with headings like “Interior,” “Features,” and “Exterior.” The reports contain ancillary data such as market trends, ownership history, location analysis, climate, weather, and value estimates from a range of sources. Future data to be made available includes permit history, zoning, Airbnb/VRBO/rental potential, appliance detail/recalls, broadband speeds, insurance claim history, and solar potential.

BHR uses blockchain as a primary safeguard for its servers, similar to how ShelterZoom and Propy leverage it. The data exists in a secure, traditional environment while being made redundant in the blockchain. Using BHR is easy, reflecting the company’s desire to make data easy to input and share. The reports are comprehensive and useful, offering a much more streamlined process than manually tracking down their various components. The platform involves consumers in its mission, ensuring that homeowners are not forgotten entities in proptech plays centered on real estate data.
